Boat Transport

Many jobs are not straightforward. Often, boats are to be placed at, or collected from, unusual sites; back gardens, inside factories, beneath overhead power cables, along narrow tree-lined lanes, on remote islands, rivers, and mountainsides, etc. These situations make the job challenging and rewarding.

S & J Boat Transport cannot accept responsibility for damages caused by improper shrink wrap. In addition, we provide custom built trailers and rolling cradles (dolly's) for a selection of boats. When moving a sailboat, you must remove all standing rigging, lights, spreaders, wind indicators and all other types of mast rigging prior to transport. Otherwise, S & J Boat Transport cannot assume liability for damage such as scratches or abrasions that may occur on the mast or damaged rigging or lights left on the mast during transport.

Before You Move
Proper boat preparation is an important part of getting your boat ready for hauling. Make certain that all loose items in your vessel such as plates, galley utensils, personal items or any other non-secured items have been secured or removed from the vessel. Empty all fuel and water from the vessel. Remove any device or fixture that extends beyond the hull of the vessel such as antennas, radar, compasses or depth sounders. These devices should be secured inside the vessel for shipping. Disconnect all battery cables and secure cradle. Secure decor such as tops, curtains, seat cushions. All personal belonging should be removed from the boat before transport. These include cash and valuables, clothing, sporting goods or any other materials that are not part of the vessel.

Once you have chosen your cradle with us, we suggest shrink wrapping your boat. Shrink wrapping helps keep your boat clean during transport and can also help deter thieves. Whether you need to shrink wrap a jet ski or a large yacht, we will be more than happy to assist you with this process. Cradle and Shrink Wrap
If you are looking to export your boat via ship, you will be required in most cases to have a shipping cradle. Our cradle department can assist you with this process.
Whether you need a cradle for a small speedboat, large yacht, power or sail, we will provide you with a high quality custom built cradle that is specifically tailored to fit your boat. Our steel and wood cradles are tested in order to maximize safety.

Once you have chosen your cradle with us, we suggest shrink wrapping your boat. Shrink wrapping helps keep your boat clean during transport and can also help deter thieves. Hydraulic Transport
S & J Boat Transport. Provides the ability to self-load and self-unload up to a 36' Boat or Yacht with our state of the art Hydraulic trailers.  Our marine hydraulic trailers offer superior flexibility and handling for your boat.  Our trailers are constructed with an open-frame, which allows boats to be lower to the ground and launched into the water. 

We have large adjustable pads set on the side of the trailer, allowing power boats and sailboats to be carried without the use of cross bars framing.
